Pugstorm is still working on its game Kyora, but they’re releasing a free update called Void and Voltage for their survival crafting game, Core Keeper, on January 28, 2026. This update will also be the first time Core Keeper is available on the Nintendo Switch 2. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
I’m so excited about the new Void and Voltage update! They’ve added this awesome biome called Breaker’s Reach, complete with a challenging boss and some new enemies to fight. And the crafting options! I can’t wait to build a Flamethrower or a Minigun. But the best part is the Advanced Automation Table – I’m planning a fully automated farm with the Robot Farm Arm, and I can even build things like Seed Extractors, Shredders, and Critter Catchers. It’s going to be amazing!
Okay, so the Switch 2 version of this game is a big step up! I’m getting a super smooth 60 frames per second, and everything just looks better – the lighting, explosions, shadows, all of it. Plus, now I can play with up to eight friends in co-op, which is awesome because the original Switch only let four of us play together. The best part? If one of us is hosting on the Switch 2, we can still play with people on the older Switch, so no one gets left out!
Stay tuned for more details and check out our review of the base game.
