On Monday, September 29th, 2025, Debbie Webster (played by Sue Devaney) discovers a shocking family secret in Coronation Street.
Today is Abi Webster’s (Sally Carman-Duttine) birthday, but she’s not in the mood to celebrate. She feels terrible about leaving her husband, Kevin (Michael Le Vell), especially because she’s been secretly having an affair with his half-brother, Carl (Jonathan Howard).
At the hotel, Abi lets Carl know she doesn’t feel like being intimate and is really unhappy about having to meet with Kevin and her stepson Jack (Kyran Bowes), who is planning to arrange a birthday cake.
Not getting what he wants from Abi, Carl furtively texts James Bailey (Jason Callender) instead!
Subsequently, Debbie discovers Abi has a keycard for the hotel and questions her about it. Abi explains that she stayed there some time in the past but simply forgot to give the key back.
When Debbie claims she has no memory of the reservation, Carl intervenes and cruelly manipulates her, leading her to believe her forgetfulness is due to dementia.
Abi is worried about how Carl is acting. Meanwhile, at the hotel, Debbie needs to review the security camera recordings to investigate a theft – and she unexpectedly sees Abi on the footage, walking towards Carl’s room.
Debbie urgently knocks on the door, and although we’re keeping the discovery a secret for now, it’s been hinted that she will find out about the affair this week. We won’t reveal what she finds, but viewers can expect the truth to come out soon.
A confrontation ensues, and Debbie is furious to realise how deeply Kevin has been betrayed.
Even though Abi is dedicated to building a future with Carl, she’s unaware that he is also involved with James, and he’s hiding other troubling secrets as well.
Now that Debbie knows the true reason Abi divorced her husband, will she share everything with Kevin?
