*Attention: Significant plot reveals for today’s episode of Coronation Street, now streaming on ITVX. Proceed with caution if you don’t wish to be spoiled!*
One character from Coronation Street has reached their final chapter, as their farewell scenes were broadcast on July 23rd, 2025.
The police apprehended Lou Michaelis (played by Farrel Hegarty), following the revelation that she had attacked Gary Windass (portrayed by Mikey North) by Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon). In other words, Maria exposed Lou’s actions to the authorities.
The story took an interesting turn as Gary declined a kiss from Lou, who’s spouse, Mick (Joe Layton), was currently imprisoned for the killing of Craig Tinker (Colson Smith).
In response to Lou’s attempt to blackmail Gary, he refused her demands, leading to her hitting him on the head, causing him to fall into a coma.

After several weeks of dishonesty leading to incarceration, Lou was compelled to entrust her children Joanie (Savanna Pennington), Shanice (Molly Kilduff), and Brody (Ryan Mulvey) to Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) for care.
On Monday (July 21st), Lou humbly asked Sally if she could borrow some money for her legal situation. She explained that she intended to argue for her release from confinement, asserting that Mick’s mistreatment was the reason she found herself in such a troubling predicament.
In the most recent installment, Sally and Tim received a call from Lou’s social worker, who shared that Lou confessed and underwent a complete transformation in his feelings.
Tim and Sal relayed the news to Brody, asking if he would visit his mum.
Brody wasn’t keen, but ultimately joined Sally and the girls to go and see Lou.
At last, Lou found herself prepared to acknowledge her deeds with a prolonged punishment, and she expressed her deepest gratitude towards Sally for all the help she provided to Lou’s family.
Sharing her concern for Sal’s children, Lou explained that he felt it best they didn’t have frequent visits with her, out of concern for their well-being. This revelation led to a heartfelt interaction between Lou, Brody, Joanie, and Shanice.
Can Brody and his sisters come to terms with their new reality?
