In preparation for the upcoming UEFA Women’s Euro tournament, ITV has made several adjustments to the airing schedules of their popular soap operas Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
Every week, I eagerly tune in to Coronation Street for a captivating hour-long journey on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8 pm. On the other hand, Emmerdale keeps me engaged with its half-hour episodes airing from 7:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. But if you’re looking for a longer dose of this soap opera drama, catch it on Thursdays when it expands to an hour-long episode at the same time!
On the other hand, the alterations coming up indicate that Coronation Street will continue to broadcast on Mondays and Wednesdays as scheduled, but there won’t be an episode on July 4th (Friday).
As a devoted moviegoer, I’m excited to share that Emmerdale will unfold its latest chapters on Monday, 30th June, and again on Wednesday, 2nd July, as scheduled. However, buckle up for a special treat on Tuesday, 1st July! That’s when we’ll have an extended hour-long episode, airing from 7pm to 8pm, promising a captivating tale that you won’t want to miss!
The soap will not air at all on Thursday 3rd July or Friday 4th July.

The temporary adjustments being made are primarily because of the football game, and further modifications may occur as the competition progresses.
Next year, there will be a lasting shift in the soap opera schedules. Specifically, they’ll start broadcasting half-hour episodes each weekday, but for an entire hour starting at 8 pm.
A special crossover event, featuring Coronation Street and Emmerdale, is set for January 2026, to signify this shift in storylines.
The one-hour crossover spectacle, according to ITV, can be enjoyed independently. However, the outcomes of this tense, significant drama will affect both communities in lasting ways, ultimately tying them together indefinitely. As some familiar figures leave and fresh, intriguing characters enter each soap opera, relationships between the shows may never be the same.
Consider adding “Coronation Street” and “Emmerdale” to your list of shows on the “TopMob: What’s On TV?” app – a great tool for daily TV suggestions, special features, and more. Don’t forget to download it!
