Becky Swain’s (Amy Cudden) latest scheme is revealed in Monday’s (20th October) Coronation Street.
The villain is determined to win back his ex-wife, Lisa (Vicky Myers), who is now engaged to Carla Connor (Alison King).
Lisa is worried because her daughter, Betsy (played by Sydney Martin), was arrested for vandalism while Carla is away in Ireland. Betsy spent the night in jail, and Lisa is understandably stressed about the situation with Becky.
Becky has been secretly meeting with the questionable DI Costello (Daon Broni), and she reveals a flash drive to Lisa that demonstrates Betsy didn’t commit the crime.
A furious Lisa heads to the station and confronts Costello, demanding Betsy’s immediate release.
Costello explained to Lisa that Becky had repeatedly tried to contact her over the years, but he always prevented it.
Betsy is now free, and Costello has just finished his part of the plan. He’s told Lisa that he was the reason she was kept away, and now it’s Becky’s turn to go.
Seeing things from a fresh perspective, Lisa and Becky bond over wine, food, and reminiscing about the past.
Roy Cropper, asked by Carla to check on Lisa and Becky, unexpectedly visits. What does he find when he arrives?
Later, Lisa confides in Roy, and she ends up making her feelings clear regarding Carla.
Becky is moving back to Spain, and it’s been revealed that Betsy will be going with her. Becky has actually been the one planning this whole thing.
Will Lisa find out, and will Becky realise she’s fighting a losing battle for their marriage?
