Reports suggest that Maggie Driscoll, the comedic newcomer on Coronation Street, will be revealed as a murderer during the Christmas season.
Pauline McLynn, known for her role in Father Ted, debuted as the new owner of the Rovers Return on the ITV soap opera at the end of October.
The show is entering a new phase with a blended family: Adam Barlow, his son Ben, partner Eva Price, sons Ollie and Will, and Eva’s daughter Susie. This new direction is happening under the guidance of producer Kate Brooks.
We only know that Maggie grew up and raised her family in Ireland before relocating to Hull. However, an upcoming episode will reveal more about her mysterious history.
Former EastEnders actor Aidan O’Callaghan has joined the cast and will appear in an episode that begins a dramatic Christmas storyline.
The Irish actor known for playing the character Lewis Butler, who was an abuser on the soap opera, is joining the cast of Coronation Street. This will be his third role in a major British soap, as he’s also appeared on Emmerdale.
According to a source, the revelation of who Maggie killed will be a huge shock to the residents of Weatherfield and will drastically change her life forever.
The murder took place before she moved into the Rovers Return with her family – her son, his wife, and their children – and she hasn’t told any of them about it.
“But it will all come out in a bombshell storyline leading up to the festive season.”
