Christmas on Coronation Street is shaping up to be as dramatic as ever this year, just like always.
I have to say, Amy Cudden is brilliantly unsettling as Becky Swain. She’s really gotten under Lisa’s skin – Vicky Myers plays her turmoil perfectly – especially now that Lisa’s just gone through a tough breakup with Carla, played by Alison King. It’s a messy situation, and Cudden is driving it home.
Becky had been trying to reconcile with Lisa for months. Finally, on Christmas Eve, Lisa let her guard down, and they shared a kiss that led to them spending the night together.

Lisa was clearly upset after what happened. As soon as she had some privacy, she tried contacting Carla again, sending a voice message to tell her she loved her and was devoted to her alone.
Lisa was so relieved when her message finally went through – it had been blocked before – and she immediately saw Carla responding.
The audience was shocked to learn the truth: it wasn’t Carla doing the typing, but Becky! Becky had secretly locked Carla away in a dirty, cramped cupboard. Carla wasn’t enjoying a vacation in Spain – she was trapped!
Everyone agrees Becky is a dangerous person, capable of terrible things. Is Carla in danger, and could this be her last Christmas?
