Carla Connor and Lisa Swain are finally moving forward with their relationship on Coronation Street, openly expressing their love after dealing with the drama caused by Becky’s manipulative plans.
Everything changed the moment Becky unexpectedly appeared at their door and revealed she’d been in hiding for years as part of the witness protection program. She also confessed she was determined to rekindle her relationship with Lisa, and nothing would stand in her way.
While Carla was being held captive in a small closet and couldn’t get the medicine she needed after her kidney transplant, Becky convinced her family she was on vacation.

After feeling heartbroken and abandoned by her partner, Lisa found herself drawn to Becky, and they became intimate. However, Lisa soon felt uneasy about the encounter, sensing something was off.
The story reached its peak during a special episode of Emmerdale when Becky caused a car crash with Lisa and their daughter, Betsy (played by Sydney Martin), inside. They were on their way to Hull to catch a ferry to Rotterdam, hoping to begin a fresh start.
Luckily, Carla was saved, and she made sure Becky couldn’t escape. Lisa quickly put handcuffs on Becky’s wrists.

The crook was subsequently sent down for 12 years.
After that, Carla questioned if she could forgive Lisa for reconnecting with Becky while she was away. They haven’t spoken since.
Encouraged by Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) advice – that her late wife Hayley would want her to find happiness – Carla finally agreed to have lunch with Lisa at the Viaduct Bistro.
It was going to be a tough conversation, I could tell, but both of them knew they needed to have it. Before they met, I heard Carla was chatting with a couple of clients at the hotel, and they were really pushing her to put her phone away and concentrate on what they were discussing. It was a bit of a signal that this meeting was important!

She became so absorbed in what she was doing that she lost all sense of time, and soon a very angry, intoxicated Lisa stormed over to challenge her.
She had a very public and upsetting emotional breakdown in front of Carla’s clients, culminating in her vomiting. Carla reluctantly took her home, expecting she’d have a terrible hangover the next day.
Lisa cuddled up on Carla’s lap and told her how much she loved her, even saying she loved her romantically.
I could tell Carla was a little unsure at first, but after thinking it over for a moment, she finally admitted she loved her too. It was such a sweet moment!
Is this the start of a new chapter for Swarla?
