The Driscoll family in Coronation Street is reeling after learning more disturbing information about Megan Walsh, who has been grooming a child.
This week’s events reached a crisis point when Sam Blakeman was hospitalized after taking a drug overdose. The teenager had become reliant on ADHD medication to cope with the pressure of being blackmailed by Megan, who was desperate to prevent him from revealing her relationship with fellow student Will Driscoll.
Sam’s family knew that he would be the last person to take drugs, and urged him to open up.
He honestly admitted what happened, and while Will’s stepmother, Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley), was first unsure if he was telling the truth, she soon realized Megan was lying.
Okay, so this student, Will, apparently developed a crush on me, which was… really uncomfortable. It went too far – he actually tried to kiss me. Honestly, I didn’t want to cause a huge scene or embarrass his family, so I decided to handle it privately and just not mention it to them. It felt like the least disruptive thing to do at the time, even though it was a really awkward situation.

Before being arrested, Will’s father, Ben, tried to get him to talk about what happened, promising he wouldn’t get in trouble. But Will was too embarrassed and still had strong feelings for Megan, so he refused to share what he knew.
During questioning by Kit Green, Megan insisted she was telling the complete truth and that the idea of having an improper relationship with a student was horrifying to her. Will gave the same account, explaining that any feelings he had were just a harmless crush that had been exaggerated.

Sam had hidden camera footage of Megan and him alone in her apartment, which gave his claims some credibility. Kit pointed out that while the video didn’t show anything inappropriate, Megan shouldn’t have put herself in that situation.
Ben and Eva rushed to the Chariot Square Hotel, believing Will had been with Megan on his sixteenth birthday. Unfortunately, they discovered that 90 days had gone by since their last visit, meaning the security camera recordings had been erased.

Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) found pregnancy vitamins while searching through Megan’s things. Megan had told the Driscolls she was pregnant with Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) baby, but claimed she later had an abortion.
Leanne told a shocked Ben and Eva that Will might be the father, explaining that’s why she hadn’t said anything before.
Although sickened, they realised that a DNA test could prove whether Megan abused Will.
