Coronation Street’s Kit Green saves Carla Connor from hostage situation to end Becky Swain terror in ITVX release

Police officer Kit Green managed to find Carla Connor, possibly preventing a crisis.

Carla, the owner of a lingerie factory, has been held captive for weeks by the wife of her partner, Lisa Swain. Becky, played by Amy Cudden, hid Carla in a linen closet and falsely posted on social media to make people believe Carla was happily traveling overseas.

Kit grew suspicious, but his search hit a dead end when he went to Becky’s apartment and couldn’t find Carla. Unbeknownst to him, she had already been moved.

I was really intrigued by today’s scenes! He was clearly making moves, first arranging for an automatic number plate reader to be installed on Becky’s car. Then, he checked in with Lauren Bolton, wondering if she’d had any news from Betsy Swain – the Swains’ daughter. It all felt very calculated and I’m eager to see what he’s planning.

She didn’t want to share much, but she did say Betsy was moving to Spain and her phone wasn’t working. The truth is, Becky is making her family change their phone SIM cards so they won’t be tracked.

As the family was leaving the Chariot Square Hotel, Lisa gave the receptionist her new phone number and asked her to share it with Carla’s nephew, Ryan Prescott.

Fortunately, Kit’s coworkers located Becky’s car deserted in a vacant lot, and when he hurried there, he found something very disturbing.

Carla, though restrained in a shipping container, was determined to stop Lisa from leaving the country. She immediately got into Lisa’s car, declined medical help, and informed Kit that she’d spotted a ferry stamp in Becky’s passport indicating travel from Hull to Rotterdam.

They quickly headed towards Yorkshire, and Carla decided to chance calling the number Ryan had gotten from Lisa.

She acted as if Ryan was calling, but Becky realized it wasn’t true and glanced away from the road. The car swerved dangerously towards another vehicle on a dark, stormy road near Hotten.

We’ll have to wait until tonight’s Emmerdale crossover to find out what happens next!

Corriedale airs on ITV1 and ITVX at 8pm on Monday, 5th January.
