Coronation Street’s Leanne Battersby baffled by Megan Walsh mystery ahead of abuser’s comeuppance in early ITVX release

Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is increasingly suspicious on Coronation Street, sensing that the terrible Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) is about to be exposed.

Fans of the ITV soap opera are aware that teacher Megan has been secretly dating her student, Will Driscoll, played by Lucas Hodgson-Wale.

She intentionally relocated from Hull to be near the teenage boy, and started a relationship with Daniel Osborne, who has no idea about her true motives. He believes she’s devoted to him, but she’s been secretly meeting someone else at the Chariot Square Hotel and is also pregnant with his child.

Megan is desperate to hide something from her classmate, Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), who suspects she’s involved in something shady. Sam, determined to uncover the truth, secretly installed a security camera in the flat Megan shares with Leanne, hoping to catch her in the act.

She soon clocked onto his plan, and accused him of voyeurism.

Leanne almost discovered the truth earlier this week. While she was in the shower, Megan entered the apartment and had a playful conversation on the phone with Will, without realizing Leanne could potentially overhear.

Megan and another person were laughing, and she was surprised to see Leanne standing directly behind her. Luckily, Leanne thought Megan was talking to Daniel, so everything was okay.

Sam stopped by his apartment to pick up his schoolbooks, but was surprised and upset to see Megan again. She cautioned him that if he shared what he believed to be the truth, he risked losing the support of almost everyone he knew.

Leanne spoke with Daniel about Sam, as she’d noticed he seemed really stressed. She wondered if his exams were the cause.

He lightheartedly mentioned that many guys his age were going through the same thing, assuring him it wasn’t something to stress about. Before they said goodbye, Leanne apologized for having interrupted his call with Megan the previous night.

Honestly, I felt so bad for Daniel! He was totally confused when she started talking about their past, and he kept telling her she had the wrong guy. He even said it must be one of her other boyfriends, which was just…wow. It was a really awkward moment.

Leanne pretended to be unconcerned, but she secretly wondered if she was missing some important information.

How will Megan explain herself?
