It’s unlikely that we’d ever tire of Too Much, given that it has just been added to Netflix’s 2025 TV lineup and there’s already talk of a potential second season. Fortunately, while we wait for confirmation on whether or not Season 2 will materialize, we know that discussions about its possibilities have taken place between Emily Ratajkowski and Lena Dunham.
In the Netflix series “Too Much,” Emily Ratajkowski portrays Wendy, the new partner of Zev (played by Michael Zegen), who was previously Jessica’s (Megan Stalter) boyfriend. Wendy is involved in an event that triggers Jessica to relocate to the UK. During a conversation with Variety, EmRata was asked if her character might reappear in Season 2, should there be one. In response, the model shared that she has discussed this possibility with the show’s creator, Lena Dunham.
Without a doubt, I would. Lena and I have engaged in enjoyable, light-hearted discussions about what that scenario might entail. To tell the truth, I’m not sure, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her. The world seemed so vivid to me. You see, I know Wendy quite well – it feels like I could bump into her on the streets of Brooklyn. So, the idea of revisiting her is incredibly intriguing.
I too find the idea intriguing that we might revisit her again! But beware: this paragraph contains spoilers from the Season 1 finale of “Too Much”!
Ever since Season 1 concluded with Wendy reuniting with Jess in London and resolving their issues, I’m really hoping to witness the progression of their relationship. Their heartwarming encounter provided a sense of resolution, and I can’t wait to follow their journey as they both advance beyond that moment.
While I’m thrilled at the prospect of Ratajkowski reprising her role as Wendy, what truly excites me is the broader implication behind this quote. This excitement stems from the fact that she and Lena Dunham have discussed Season 2, suggesting that thoughtful planning has gone into how the show will progress beyond its 2025 television schedule.
In addition, Will Sharpe, who portrays Felix, shared with Netflix that the series finale hints at “They seem happy for now, but let’s wait and see.” Consequently, there is potential for Jess and Felix’s relationship to develop (or face challenges) beyond their sudden proposal and wedding. Although it appeared like a perfect ending, it was merely the start of their shared journey in life together.
That point was made by Dunham too, as she told THR:
As for the second season, we’re still on the journey. Yet, when I ponder where these characters might be headed in my mind and conversations with Luis, it’s clear that marriage doesn’t mark the end of their love story – it signifies the start. For two individuals who barely know each other, yet feel a connection due to this intense intimacy they’ve shared, there is much unexplored territory in their lives as a couple. They haven’t had the chance to face many challenges and build a strong foundation together, which I believe will make their story even more compelling.

As I sit here reflecting on the captivating narrative unfolding before me, I can’t help but express my eagerness for more. I yearn to delve deeper into the journey of Jess and Felix, exploring how they navigate their complex married life and untangle their individual baggage. The burgeoning friendship between Wendy and Jess is a subplot that has caught my attention, and I find myself rooting for its growth. Ultimately, this intricately flawed yet heartwarming portrayal of love has left me craving more of the beautiful chaos it presents, making it a show I simply cannot get enough of.
Currently, the show “Too Much” is relatively new, so we’re unsure if it’s been renewed or if it might end up on the list of shows canceled in 2025. Fingers crossed that it gets picked up for more seasons! Given the enthusiastic reactions online and the creators’ discussions about continuing the series, I remain optimistic.
From a personal perspective, I believe that the series might find its way onto Netflix’s list of most bingeable shows due to its engaging nature. If given additional seasons, it has the potential to become one of the top romantic comedy TV shows. Here’s to wishing for more episodes!
