The Coyote Ugly cast is ready to get back to the bar.
25 years after the release of the renowned 2000 film featuring Piper Perabo, Tyra Banks, Melanie Lynskey, among others, the cast members looked back on its influence and expressed their thoughts about potentially reprising their roles in a sequel.
In an exclusive chat with TopMob News, I shared my enthusiasm, saying, “I can still recall the buzz among all the town’s ladies who yearned to be a part of this film. The thrill when I was chosen for the role was overwhelming!” Regarding a potential sequel, I mused, “It sounds like a blast! It would undeniably be an exciting venture.
Regarding Tyra, she’s been brainstorming a concept – it would involve Maria Bello’s character Lil, who was known for running the famous Coyote Ugly bar. And as for whether America’s Next Top Model alum Tyra might reprise her role as Zoë? She confirmed, “Absolutely, yes.
Meanwhile, songwriter Diane Warren – responsible for penning the film’s soundtrack hits like “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” by LeAnn Rimes – is eagerly anticipating her return to the recording studio. She expressed her excitement, stating, “I can’t wait for them to make Coyote 2; I would absolutely love to be involved in that project.
Despite other cast members maintaining secrecy about their plans for a sequel movie, Izabella Miko, known for her role as Cammie in the initial film, hinted at some details concerning the storyline she’s developing for her character.
She mentioned that “she’s undergoing a transformation.” Previously, she had traveled to Colombia, experienced ayahuasca, and upon her return, she chose to establish a hydration bar, conveniently located near Coyote Ugly.
The 44-year-old further emphasized that the entire cast is ready to reprise their roles.
She enthusiastically expressed, “It seems to me that the world could use a new installment of ‘Coyote Ugly.’ If we all rally and voice our desire, ‘Yes, we want this, we need this,’ I believe we can bring it to life.
Currently, the Coyote Ugly cast was content with simply reconnecting to support the California wildfire relief efforts by Global Empowerment Mission. Notably, they gathered for a unique movie screening in Santa Monica, an event organized by Tyra following her personal loss of her home.
Tyra expressed, “The Palisades remains my charming little town in my mind. That’s the image I cherish, and I plan to keep it close. I believe it will return even more enchanting than before.
A possible sequel to “Coyote Ugly” might be coming up shortly, so here are some movies from 2025 that you can consider adding to your viewing list in the meantime…
