Here is an overview of the game, via POFUPOFU STUDIOS:
About
In Seina: A Tale of Spirits, you’ll embark on a relaxing adventure through a beautifully hand-painted world inspired by Japan’s nature and traditions. Explore peaceful forests and ancient shrines, meet friendly spirits, and piece together a heartwarming story told through visuals and atmosphere. The game encourages you to wander and discover hidden secrets at your own pace, offering a calming and reflective experience.
Story
Players join Mika, a young girl on a quest to find her lost cat. Her search leads her into a beautiful, peaceful world of spirits – a place built from nature’s memories, old shrines, and paths steeped in legend. Gentle spirits watch over her as she travels, sometimes offering guidance.
As Mika ventures further, she finds little stories woven into the world around her – places where the past and present meet, highlighting the importance of friendship, generosity, and appreciating nature. Rather than facing conflict, Mika connects with the environment and its unseen energies, realizing how everything is connected. The story gently unfolds through her discoveries, creating a moving experience built on small, peaceful moments.

Gameplay
In Seina: A Tale of Spirits, you’ll experience a calming adventure centered around exploring beautiful, hand-painted worlds and making close connections with gentle animal spirits. The game features simple puzzles and tells its story through actions, the environment, and visual cues – you won’t find a lot of talking or lengthy cutscenes.
Honestly, this game really wants you to chill and take things slow. It’s not about rushing through; it’s about looking around and exploring at your own pace. The world feels alive – when I, as Mika, wander through, spirits react to me, little shrines show me bits of the past, and if I actually look, I find tons of hidden secrets. It’s super rewarding if you’re willing to take your time.
