A recent leak has Crash Bandicoot fans buzzing with anticipation. First appearing on PlayStation in 1996, Crash quickly became a gaming icon, much like Mario and Sonic. Over the years, he’s expanded beyond traditional platforming games and appeared on various systems, resulting in a total of 23 titles, including the 2023 release, Crash Team Rumble. Now, a new leak suggests that Crash is gearing up for a return!
A Reddit user named Jaccblacc203 shared that Beenox, the studio behind popular Crash Bandicoot games like Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, briefly posted a picture of Crash Bandicoot in a kart racing game in early November 2025 before quickly taking it down. This has led many fans to believe a new kart racing game in the Crash Bandicoot series might be in development.
Crash Bandicoot Devs Enticed Fans With a Pic of the Iconic Character in a Kart

Beenox recently posted a picture on X (formerly Twitter) that quickly disappeared. The artwork looked a lot like the style of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, a platforming game, which sparked excitement among fans. Beenox previously worked on Nitro-Fueled and Crash Bandicoot 4, leading many to believe their next game would be a kart racer. Currently, the image has been replaced with a promotion for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and there’s no official word about a new Crash game.

Beenox’s website mainly highlights their big-name games and acts as a company introduction. This means any future Crash Bandicoot game remains a mystery. A recent image posted by the Beenox social media team might be unrelated to any current projects, or it could be a hint of things to come. Right now, only the developers know the truth, and they aren’t sharing, which only adds to the excitement and speculation.
The picture featuring Crash Bandicoot seems to be a celebration of Beenox’s 25 years of game development, so it might be referencing an older game. While that’s a good guess, the artwork is different from Nitro-Fueled, and it also includes games currently being worked on, like the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which is scheduled to launch on November 13, 2025. Because of this, fans are hoping Beenox is also developing a new Crash Bandicoot game, but we’ll have to wait and see if that’s true.
