Just over two weeks before its release, Pearl Abyss announced that over three million players have added Crimson Desert to their wishlists. This is a significant achievement, especially since the game surpassed two million wishlists on February 3rd, and shows that their promotional efforts, like the feature overview trailers, are proving successful.
Pearl Abyss has announced the game will launch on March 19th, and a recent promotional image revealed something interesting. It shows Kliff riding a dragon, followed by Oongka on horseback. What’s cool is that Oongka is also a character players can unlock and play as.
Is cooperative play going to be a feature in Crimson Desert? Will players be able to control characters like Damiane and Oongka alongside each other? The extensive customization options suggest that everyone might have their own unique character, horse, and even mech, making each player visually different.
It’s possible what we saw was just a story scene – perhaps Kliff rescuing Oongka and the two of them leaving together. However, Pearl Abyss has been very secretive about the game’s story, so it’s hard to know if that’s actually what happened.
I’m so excited, we don’t have to wait much longer to play! Crimson Desert is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. And seriously, you have to see how amazing it looks running in native 4K and with all the settings maxed out on PC – it’s gorgeous!
3 million wishlists! ⚔️
A huge thank you for making #CrimsonDesert one of your most anticipated games. We’re in the final countdown to March 19—prepare yourselves for the world of Pywel!— Crimson Desert (@CrimsonDesert_) March 3, 2026
