Pearl Abyss, the team behind the highly anticipated PS5 game Crimson Desert, has begun a new video series to showcase how the RPG actually plays. The first episode is available to view now and details the game’s main features and mechanics.
This overview series will be in three parts. The first part, lasting about 15 minutes, will introduce the main character, Kliff, and give you a look at the game’s open world.
The game world is divided into five distinct regions: Hernand, Pailune, Demeniss, Delesyia, and the Crimson Desert. Each region will offer a variety of content, including quests tied to different factions, large battles, fortress sieges, and more personal missions for your character.
The game will encourage you to explore, offering rewards like items, abilities, and gear. You can also expect to discover hidden collectibles, optional quests, various activities, and merchants as you venture beyond the main path.
The game primarily follows Kliff’s story, though you’ll also be able to play as two other characters. The plot revolves around bringing the Greymane family back together and reclaiming their territory, which eventually escalates into a global problem. A major danger arises from the Abyss – a strange, unstable dimension that’s starting to break apart and send pieces of itself falling into the world of Pywel.
