Crimson Desert Guide – The Best Weapons And How To Get Them

Crimson Desert features a huge variety of weapons, from short-range daggers to long-distance rifles and many options in between. You can find weapons by looting or buying them, or you can craft them yourself at a blacksmith. However, the most powerful and unique weapons are hidden in treasure chests all over the world of Pywel.

So, I’ve been playing Crimson Desert and wanted to share a quick list of some of the coolest, most unique weapons I’ve found so far, and where you can get your hands on them too!

Best Dagger

Kylus Dagger

Rare Dagger

The Kylus dagger is named for a legendary figure known for relentlessly expanding his territory. Stories say this dedication to hard work was passed down through generations, eventually reaching the people of Pailune.

  • 10-30 Attack
  • Lv 1 Attack Speed
  • Lv 5-9 Critical Rate

Finish the quest called ‘Woman Who Lost Her Husband’ and you’ll get your reward at Hernand’s Oakenshield Manor.

Best One-Handed Weapons

Survivor’s Solitude

Epic Sword

This sword belonged to the last king of a lost kingdom and remained with him until he died. It features an intricate design representing his royal family, but the meaning of the pattern has been lost to time, as no one is left who understands it.

  • Insight I Abyss Gear
  • Destruction I Abyss Gear

The treasure chest is hidden behind a waterfall inside Death’s Grip Cavern, found within Hernand’s Everfrost Basin. You can reach the hidden area by attacking the waterfall.

The Grove’s Thorn

Rare Mace

This weapon is made from thorns that naturally fall from Roothold’s Sacred Tree. Locals believe that branches broken from the tree aren’t strong enough to create a lasting weapon. Therefore, it’s a tradition in Roothold to respectfully offer prayers to the tree and only gather the branches that have fallen on their own.

  • 11-33 Attack
  • Lv 1-2 Attack Speed
  • Spirit Transference Abyss Gear

Defeat Kearush the Slayer in Chapter 5.

Hollow Visage

Rare Sword

This sword belonged to the Reed Devil, a demon featured in a local legend from Sunset Valley. Stories say he covered the reed fields in blood, but it’s difficult to separate fact from fiction in the tale.

  • Swift I Abyss Gear
  • Destruction I Abyss Gear

To find the treasure, look behind the waterfall in Dawn Cave, which is hidden within Hernand’s Mountain of Frozen Souls. You’ll need to strike the waterfall to reveal the entrance.

Best Shield

Shield of Conviction

Epic Large Shield

This shield represents the Marquis who governs Calphade, embodying their unwavering determination and refusal to yield.

  • 8 Defense
  • Aegis I Abyss Gear
  • Fortitude I Abyss Gear

The treasure is hidden inside a chest, located in the bell tower of Hernand’s Church in the Calphadean Territory.

Best Two-Handed Weapons

Soul Spear

Rare Two-Handed Spear

This spear is crafted from the souls collected by Antumbra’s followers. When you deliver a final strike with it, the spirits inside are unleashed, driving nearby enemies to madness. After each use, the spear needs a short time to recharge.

  • 27 Attack

Inside a room at the Antumbra Ritual Grounds, located in the Argent Peaks of Hernand Duchy.

Frozen Anguish

Legendary Longsword

This longsword was once used by the fearsome Skull Knight. Its blade is a cold, icy blue and radiates a chilling frost. As a symbol of darkness and death, the sword inspires terror and allows its wielder to inflict powerful, devastating attacks.

  • 16-43 Attack
  • Stamina Transference Abyss Gear
  • Swift I Abyss Gear
  • Destruction I Abyss Gear

Inside Demeniss, within the Eye of Ice, look for the Spire of Frost. A treasure chest is hidden underneath the stairway right as you enter.

Best Ranged Weapons

Sydmon Bow

Uncommon Bow

The bow was made by Sydmon, a local blacksmith. He died while working, collapsing as he finished sharpening an axe blade, having exhausted all his energy.

  • 11-33 Attack

You can find me relaxing in a flower patch in the Hernand Highlands. Look for me directly north of the letter ‘S’ on the area map.

Golden-Knotted Ancestral Bow

Epic Bow

This bow is deeply connected to the traditions of Pailune. In certain areas, a golden knot is tied onto it with each new owner, representing the lineage of archers who have used it before.

  • 11-33 Attack
  • Destruction II Abyss Gear
  • Insight I Abyss Gear
  • Life Transference Abyss Gear

You’ll find it in a room deep inside the Pailune Ancestors’ Ruins, located on Silver Wolf Mountain. On the map, go straight north from the letter ‘I’ in ‘Silver’. Keep an eye out for a ladder hidden by plants that leads down into a shaft.

Those are some of the best unique weapons to be found in Crimson Desert.
