The official launch trailer for Crimson Desert is now available, building excitement for Pearl Abyss’s open-world game which releases next week. We’ve been playfully suggesting that the teasers weren’t showing everything and that there were still surprises in store – and it turns out we were right!
The game features exciting additions like a jetpack for faster travel, letting Kliff move much quicker than with the Crow’s Wings. He can also grab onto a passing train for a quick ride, and players will face diverse challenges in the Abyss. These include gliding through rings and solving puzzles with laser-based structures.
The game features plenty of hints at upcoming battles, including brand new bosses that are much larger than Kliff. Players will also have access to new weapons, like a powerful Japanese war fan that can create strong winds to knock enemies back. Damiane can use a frost-covered claymore, and Kliff can wield a flaming greatsword. Plus, there are exciting sequences involving the dragon mount, including one where it breathes fire on two huge buildings.
We’re likely only seeing a small part of what Crimson Desert has to offer. Launching March 19th on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, the game promises a huge experience, with Pearl Abyss saying the main story campaign is just a fraction of everything there is to do.
