Crimson Desert Team “Not Hiding” Console Footage: “Let Us Cook? Please And Thank You”

There’s a lot of expectation surrounding Crimson Desert, especially considering the years Pearl Abyss has invested in its development and refinement. While impressive gameplay footage has been shown over the last two years, it’s mostly been for the PC version, leading some to believe the developers are deliberately keeping other versions under wraps.

Will Powers, a marketing and strategy expert, responded to criticism on Twitter, stating he’s frustrated with constantly having to explain the company’s plans. He clarified they intend to share details about the game before its release to give potential customers enough time to pre-order. He ended with a plea for patience, asking people to simply “let us do our work.”

This aligns with previous statements from Powers, who explained that a lack of detail often means they plan to share more information later. However, some users are still concerned, worried this could lead to a similar situation as with CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077. Ben from VideoTechUK suggests that being open and providing console review units would demonstrate confidence.

It’s not surprising that players on consoles want to see the game in action – the over three million wishlists likely include many console gamers. Fortunately, it sounds like the developers are already preparing to share more gameplay footage and performance details for the console versions. The big question is when this will happen, and if it will be soon enough for people who are considering pre-ordering.
