Argonaut Games, along with Titanium Studios and Big Boat Interactive, have released a new “Platinum Edition” update for the game *Croc: Legend of the Gobbos*. It’s available now on Steam for PC, and will be released on other platforms on October 16th.
This update will be available on Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch, and GOG as usual. It also marks the game’s debut on Steam and will come as a separate, downloadable edition for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 owners.

You might be wondering why we’re releasing a new version of *Croc: Legend of the Gobbos*. When we remastered the game, we realized it didn’t have enough trophies to earn a Platinum trophy on PlayStation. Unfortunately, we can’t add trophies with a simple update. So, we created this new version with a complete set of 16 trophies, including the Platinum trophy everyone loves!
While we were already working on Trophies, we decided to add a total of 16 new Achievements for Xbox and PC, and also bring Achievements to the Nintendo Switch, complete with an in-game tracker!
But this isn’t just about trophies. Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Platinum Edition includes:
- A new time trial gameplay mode called Time Attack
- Over 25 new additions to the Crocipedia.
- The ability to toggle between different Croc Main Theme mixes in the main menu.
- A bunch of bug fixes were squashed. Ker-Splat!
- A handful of quality-of-life features and improvements.
Here’s how it’ll roll out:
- Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and GOG (PC) players will receive this update as standard.
- Steam (PC) players will be able to purchase the Platinum Edition of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos for the first time.
- PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 players will see it as a new edition of the game, which they can download and play separately.
As a huge Croc fan, I’m so thrilled with this update! The team really listened to what we’ve been saying, and it’s amazing to finally see it here. Especially awesome for those of us going for that Platinum trophy on PlayStation – we’ve been waiting for this!
