Croc’s Back and He’s Still Got the Moves!
The enchanting tale follows a small, lovable crocodile named Croc, who embarks on an emotional adventure with nothing but his distinctive knapsack and waggling rear end. He leaps, climbs, swims, and spins his tail through various extraordinary realms to save his cherished Gobbos family from the malevolent sorcerer Baron Dante and his mischievous minions, the Dantini horde.
The original game, renowned for its universal charm and pioneering creativity, swiftly transformed into a multi-million selling iconic platformer classic. Although the remastered version of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos offers an authentic gaming experience that takes players on a trip back to the golden era of gaming, it also incorporates a range of contemporary updates such as improved high-definition graphics, modern control mechanics with an advanced camera system, and retro video modes designed to recreate the gaming experience that captivated us during the 1990s.
Immerse yourself in a meticulously revived universe teeming with vivid hues, enchanting sceneries, and engaging puzzles that spark creativity. The remastered version of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos combines the charm of nostalgia with contemporary gameplay mechanics, delivering a gaming adventure that honors its classic roots while opening the door for new players to uncover its enduring enchantment.
The game boasts a total of 45 action-packed levels teeming with adversaries and bosses, distributed over five distinct realms such as volcanic landscapes, icy glaciers, submerged caverns, and additional environments.
The Crocipedia
Under the collaboration of several original team members, Argonaut Games spent more than a year hunting for a vast collection of forgotten development assets. These findings were then meticulously organized into a digital museum showcasing concept character and level designs, animation trials, game design papers, scarce promotional goods, early versions of the popular Croc: Legend of the Gobbos soundtrack, and a collection of documentary interviews with numerous contributors to the development of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos.
Exploring the Crocipedia offers an incredible opportunity for dedicated enthusiasts and history buffs to delve deeply into the innovative development of the game, revealing the tales that played significant roles in transforming Croc: Legend of the Gobbos from a popular title into a gaming legend.
