While Bloober Team’s game, Cronos: The New Dawn, didn’t reach the same popularity as their previous project, the Silent Hill 2 remake, it still sold well – reaching 500,000 copies. As a result, the developers are planning to release a new difficulty level called Temporal Diver in early 2026.
The game’s new mode, revealed in a somewhat over-the-top trailer, aims to make the survival horror experience more accessible, especially for players primarily interested in the story. While details are still forthcoming, the developers listened to feedback and are offering a less challenging way to play.
Cronos: The New Dawn is now available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. In this game, you play as a Traveler who goes back in time to collect the essence of important people and bring them to a dark, monster-filled future. It’s clearly inspired by games like Resident Evil and Dead Space, but it’s still a unique and engaging experience – you can find a full review for more information.
