Bloober Team recently unveiled a 10-minute demo video featuring the third-person survival horror game titled “Cronos: The New Dawn,” which is known as “Sector A-0” in this presentation.
Here is an overview of the game, via Bloober Team:
About
Experience Cronos: The New Dawn, where you embark on a chilling voyage through time and dread. The game unfolds in two distinct periods – a crumbling future and 1980s Poland. Immerse yourself in an atmosphere reminiscent of the actual Krakow district – Nowa Huta. In this perilous world, your survival hinges upon manipulating time itself. Assuming the role of a Traveler, an enigmatic emissary from the Collective, you emerge from a dystopian reality to reenter the past, rescuing individuals before they meet their end in the apocalypse. As you traverse a world teetering on obliteration, you’ll cross paths with hideous creatures known as the Orphans.
Don’t Let Them Merge
As a gamer diving headfirst into the latest gaming experience, I’ve just witnessed a spine-chilling sneak peek at the gameplay trailer, revealing nail-biting survival instances within the Orphans’ den. These creatures are nightmares personified, grotesque abominations birthed from the darkest recesses of humanity’s psyche. The trailer offers a gruesome glimpse into their behavior – relentlessly aggressive and merciless, turning each encounter into a desperate struggle for survival. Crucial to success is preventing these Orphans from merging. Previously displayed, defeated enemies must be swiftly incinerated to prevent them from being absorbed by other adversaries, which could lead to a devastating merge, spawning an even more formidable and rapid foe.
Exploring the Twisted Realms of the New Dawn
Furthermore, the thrilling trailer unveils a portion of the tale about a secretive Predecessor known as Traveler ND 3500, along with their enigmatic travel journal. Players will embark on an adventure through disquieting post-apocalyptic landscapes reminiscent of the real-world Nowa Huta district in Poland, where crumbling Brutalist structures are distorted and altered by unexplained aberrations in reality.
The video game ‘Cronos: The New Dawn’ will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and both Steam and the Epic Games Store for personal computers this autumn.
