If examining the events in Sector A-0 didn’t already provide enough excitement, there’s now a fresh 35-minute gameplay walkthrough available for Cronos: The New Dawn. This walkthrough takes us from the beginning of the game, where Traveler ND-3576 embarks on an adventure into the New Dawn district in search of Predecessor ND-3500. Initially, it involves simple exploration and puzzle-solving, but it doesn’t take long before the Orphans make their appearance.
While wandering through the district, Traveler ND-3576 stumbles upon papers and messages left behind by the deceased. Following a fight with an Orphan, she soon finds herself in a larger area with ruined towers looming in the distance. More Orphans lie ahead, yet among them are also decaying bodies of infected that need to be burned, otherwise they could potentially empower the living Orphans.
Following our encounters with various monsters and constructing makeshift paths using debris, we shift focus to unit ND-3576 scouring a wrecked apartment complex, now armed with a weapon resembling a shotgun. More adversaries, labeled as Orphans, are ready to be vanquished, among them a tougher one that needs to be overcome to reach the time portal. Once synchronized, ND-3576 continues her pursuit of the target.
Title “Cronos: The New Dawn” will launch this Fall on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms. Possible release date at Gamescom 2025 may be announced, considering a playable demo is accessible at the Xbox booth from August 20th to 24th.
