A lesser-known but highly-rated anime from the ‘Isekai’ genre is returning for a new season on Crunchyroll, four years after its initial release. While many new ‘Isekai’ shows come out each season, it’s hard for all of them to stand out. This anime is one of the few that’s proven popular enough to earn another season, even after a significant wait.
The anime adaptation of the light novel series Skeleton Knight in Another World, by Ennki Hakari and KeG, originally premiered in 2022 and is currently available on Crunchyroll. Now, exciting news: a second season has been confirmed and will be released this July as part of the Summer 2024 anime lineup.
Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 Announced for July 2026
Season 2 of Skeleton Knight in Another World is set to premiere in July 2024, though a specific date hasn’t been announced yet. You can currently watch the first season on Crunchyroll. Details about where to stream the second season internationally are still to come. The returning cast and crew from the first season will be back, and PelleK will once again perform the opening theme song.
The second season of Skeleton Knight in Another World will be directed by Katsumi Ono at Aura Studio. Toru Imanishi is handling the character designs, Yoshihiro Nagamori will design the monsters, and Toshizo Nemoto is writing the series scripts. Pony Canyon is in charge of the music. Many of the original voice actors are returning, including Tomoaki Maeno as Arc, Ai Fairouz as Arianne, Nene Hieda as Ponta, Miyu Tomita as Chiyome, Takuya Eguchi as Danka, Kosuke Toriumi as Dillan, Yuko Minaguchi as Glenys, and Rumi Okubo as Eevin, along with other familiar voices.
Why Watch Skeleton Knight in Another World?

With so many new shows and returning favorites in 2022—and an even busier year ahead—it’s easy for some series to get overlooked. That’s why it’s worth seeking out hidden gems like Skeleton Knight in Another World, which debuted during a crowded season and deserves attention.
This isn’t the most action-packed isekai anime of the year, and it might not be a huge sensation, but it’s shaping up to be a charming and enjoyable show worth watching. There’s always space for these more low-key stories each summer, and it’s definitely one to keep on your radar.
