Crunchyroll is raising the prices of all its U.S. subscription plans. Both current and new subscribers will see higher monthly rates for the Fan, Mega Fan, and Ultimate Fan tiers. This is the first price increase for the basic Fan plan in the U.S. since 2019.
Subscription prices for Crunchyroll have increased
Crunchyroll is raising prices for its U.S. subscribers on all its paid plans. New members will see the updated prices right away, while current members will start paying more on their bills starting after March 4, 2026.
Crunchyroll has updated its subscription prices. The Fan Tier now costs $9.99 per month, up from $7.99. The Mega Fan Tier has increased to $13.99 per month, and the Ultimate Fan Tier is now $17.99 per month. For a limited time, Crunchyroll is offering an annual deal for the Fan Tier: a one-year subscription costs $66.99, which works out to $5.58 per month, with some terms and conditions applying.
When announcing recent updates, Crunchyroll highlighted the massive size of its anime collection. They stated that subscribers have access to over 50,000 episodes, 25,000 hours of content, and 2,000 different anime series and movies, plus a variety of extras like music, concerts, and games.
The service shared updates on recent and planned technical upgrades, like PIN-protected teen profiles, support for multiple users, features to easily skip intros and credits, and compatibility with more devices. Crunchyroll has also started publishing digital manga through a separate, optional subscription service called Crunchyroll Manga.
Our subscription plans each offer different perks. Fans get to watch without ads, access our entire library, download content for offline viewing on one device, and enjoy small discounts on merchandise. Mega Fans can stream on up to four devices at once, download in HD quality, play games through the Crunchyroll Game Vault, and receive better deals and shipping offers in some areas.
As a total cinema and anime fan, I love being an Ultimate Fan member! It lets me stream on up to six devices at once, which is perfect for my family. Plus, depending on where you are, you get access to tons of manga to read. And honestly, the discounts on merchandise are the best – I can finally get all the collectibles I want!
