Crunchyroll is expanding one of its most popular anime series with a large renewal, promising a new season next year. With so many ‘isekai’ anime available today – a popular subgenre – shows are constantly vying for viewers. However, a few standout franchises have consistently released multiple seasons and even films, proving their lasting appeal.
Fans of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime have a lot to look forward to! Not only is a new movie coming out next year, but the anime is also getting a fourth season. Excitingly, Season 4 will be split into five parts with short breaks in between. The first two parts are scheduled to premiere in Japan next April, and you can watch a teaser trailer announcing the renewal below.
Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 Renewed for Five Cours
The fourth season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is scheduled to premiere in April 2026. Details about when it will be available outside of Japan haven’t been released yet. While you wait, you can watch the first three seasons, the movie, and any spinoffs on Crunchyroll. It’s a good idea to catch up, as Season 4 is expected to be quite long – lasting for several years!
I’ve been following That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and it’s great news that Season 4 will be quite long – a total of five cours! That means we’ll get five sets of roughly 11-13 episodes each. They’re planning to release the first two cours back-to-back next Spring and Summer, but there will be a pause after that. We don’t know yet when the final three cours will air, but the good news is the same team and voice actors are returning for this season.
What Does This Mean for Slime’s Future?

The fourth season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is getting a significant extension, which shows how confident Bandai Namco Filmworks is in the series. This longer season suggests the production team has the time and resources to create a high-quality and enjoyable experience for viewers. It sounds like fans can expect a lengthy and entertaining season.
This is another addition to the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime series, which has been popular since the first season aired. The original light novels are more successful than ever, even though the series is finishing up this year, and now fans are eagerly awaiting to see how the story concludes in the anime adaptation.
