2025 has been a fantastic year for Crunchyroll in theaters, and they’re looking to finish strong. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle perfectly showcases their success, topping the North American box office for two weeks running. This weekend, the Demon Slayer heroes will be joined by another popular anime character, who currently has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
With fifteen critic reviews currently on Rotten Tomatoes, Chainsaw Man The Movie: The Reze Arc has a perfect 100% score. The film, produced by Studio MAPPA, is now playing in North American theaters after being released in Japan several months ago. Picking up right after the anime’s first season finale, the movie throws new challenges at Denji. He’s facing a powerful new enemy, the Bomb Devil, and finds himself caught in a love triangle between Makima and Reze. The film has received overwhelmingly positive reviews for its action and drama, and you can read them for yourself here.
What Did We Think of Chainsaw Man’s First Movie?

We rated Chainsaw Man The Movie: The Reze Arc 4.5 out of 5 stars, praising its exciting story and incredible animation by Studio MAPPA. Although a new season or movie hasn’t been confirmed, there’s a lot more content in the original manga that could fuel the series for years to come. The manga has enough chapters for many more stories, and they’re likely to be just as intense and violent as what we’ve already seen in this devilish world.
In our review of Chainsaw Man The Movie: The Reze Arc, we said that despite strong competition from other anime films in 2025, it was one of the most enjoyable cinematic experiences of the year. The movie perfectly blends action, romance, and comedy within Denji’s wild story. Even if you’re new to the Chainsaw Man universe, MAPPA’s film is a genuinely fun watch for any animation fan. We highly recommend checking it out!
