Crunchyroll has had a very successful year, largely thanks to the incredible performance of *Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle*. The movie earned hundreds of millions of dollars worldwide and was the number one film in North American theaters for its first two weekends. But *Demon Slayer* isn’t the only anime film Crunchyroll is releasing – they have another big movie coming out later this month, and it will be available to watch for free.
I’m excited to share that *Chainsaw Man The Movie: The Reze Arc* is coming to theaters on October 24th! But here’s a perk for some *Chainsaw Man* fans: Crunchyroll is offering early screenings on October 22nd to their Fans, Mega Fans, and Ultimate Fan members in the U.S. If you’re one of those subscribers, you can grab your tickets now – the link with participating theaters is available online. While it probably won’t reach the box office heights of something like *Demon Slayer*, this movie really shows how popular anime has become.
Why Chainsaw Man The Movie Will Succeed

The movie *Chainsaw Man: The Reze Arc* has been a hit in Japan, reaching number one at the box office for its first three weeks. Fans can expect a truly over-the-top and unforgettable experience, fueled by the intense battle between the Chainsaw Devil and the Bomb Devil. Creator Tatsuki Fujimoto is known for pushing boundaries with their storytelling, and this film is a perfect example. With Studio MAPPA animating the film, the combination of story and visuals promises to be spectacular.
Earlier this year, we spoke with Manabu Otsuka, President of Studio MAPPA, about their decision to adapt the next part of the *Chainsaw Man* story as a movie instead of a second season. He explained that the “Reze Arc,” written by creator Tatsuki Fujimoto, was ideally suited for a film format. Otsuka believes the action, explosions, and overall cinematic experience would be much more impactful on the big screen, and that this approach would allow them to deliver the story to fans in the most spectacular way possible.
Although it’s unclear if the anime will continue after the movie, the creator of *Chainsaw Man*, Tatsuki Fujimoto, is still writing the manga. He’s introduced a new main character, Asa Mikata (also known as the War Devil), and isn’t holding back in the manga’s latest story arc. Anime viewers will probably need to wait several years to see this story adapted into animation, but it promises to be fantastic.
