🚨 Crypto’s Big Switcheroo! 🚨
Oh my, oh me! It seems the crypto world has gone utterly bonkers! 🤯 Rebecca Liao, the big cheese CEO of Saga, has spilled the beans on why the crypto industry has made a beeline for the Republican Party. And, folks, it’s a doozy! 🤣
It all started, Liao claims, when the previous administration got a bit too big for its britches and began to meddle in crypto affairs. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in particular, was a bit of a party pooper, if you know what I mean. 🎉
“The crypto community felt as though the administration of power was not really helping out the crypto community with policies that would be productive for this industry, and so they decided to pivot over to the Republican Party.”
But that’s not all, folks! Liao also let slip that campaign contributions had a teensy-weensy bit to do with the GOP’s sudden love affair with crypto. And, let’s be real, who doesn’t love a good bribe… err, I mean, “donation”? 🤑
US Government Resets Relationship with Crypto Industry (Again!)
And, in a shocking turn of events (not really), the US government has decided to play nice with the crypto industry. Who knew? 🤷♀️
After President Donald Trump’s re-election and the departure of SEC chairman Gary Gensler, the feds have done a complete 180 on their crypto stance. It’s like they’re trying to make amends or something! 🤗
The SEC has dropped enforcement actions against a slew of crypto firms, including Coinbase, OpenSea, Uniswap, Gemini, and Consensys. Wow, what a relief! 🙌
