Nacon and Big Bad Wolf Studio have unveiled the story trailer for their Lovecraftian adventure game, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss. You can now also pre-order the game digitally.
Here are the latest details, via Nacon:
In the year 2053, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss puts you in the role of Noah, a specialist dealing with the occult. He’s dispatched to the Pacific Ocean to investigate the vanishing of researchers from the Ocean-I company.
The newly released trailer creates a sense of mystery and shows more of the global research done by Ocean-I. Their work has led scientists to a significant discovery – and to the legendary city of R’lyeh.
After receiving no word from them, Noah begins searching for both Andrew Marsh, the CEO of Ocean-I, and the missing person. As he navigates the city’s complex streets, the boundaries between what’s real and a terrifying nightmare start to fade, all fueled by the influence of a powerful, ancient cosmic being – Cthulhu. This desperate search for answers comes at a steep cost, involving a descent into madness, exposure to ancient rituals, and encounters with terrifying cosmic monsters.
In Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, players step into the shoes of Noah, who must stay sharp and think creatively to solve challenging puzzles. Each decision impacts the story and draws players further into the unsettling world inspired by H.P. Lovecraft.
Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on April 16.
