CD Projekt RED is renowned for creating some of the greatest role-playing games ever made, such as Cyberpunk 2077. Initially launched with numerous issues and receiving severe criticism, the developers have significantly improved the game through regular updates. These updates brought the game to a stable state and closer to CD Projekt RED’s original vision for it. The latest free Update 2.3, released in July, has sparked renewed interest in the game, with players breaking previous records for Cyberpunk 2077 after years.

It’s clear that the number of players for Cyberpunk 2077 has significantly increased, peaking at 71,545 within a 24-hour period. The last time such a high player count was recorded for this cyberpunk RPG was in December 2023 on Steam, which coincides with the release of the Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition. Interestingly, CD Projekt RED had declared that this would be the final update for the game. Given this context, it’s not surprising to see such a large player base now, as many have decided to purchase what was believed to be the complete version of the game.
