Celeste Rivas Hernandez is going home.
The body of the 15-year-old, found in a Tesla owned by musician D4vd, was released to her family on September 23rd, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office, as confirmed by TMZ.
This news follows the recent announcement that singer David Burke, known for his song “Here With Me,” has canceled the rest of his U.S. tour, called *Withered*. However, he still plans to perform his international concerts.
Although the Los Angeles Police Department hasn’t identified any suspects, a representative for D4vd stated on September 17th that the 20-year-old is working with investigators.
Los Angeles police discovered a severely decomposed body on September 8th in a vehicle at a city impound lot after noticing a strong, unpleasant smell.
A 2023 Tesla was towed from the Hollywood Hills after being reported as abandoned. It was later discovered the car was registered in Hempstead, Texas, to the person known as the “Romantic Homicide” singer.
Police found a body inside a bag in the trunk of a car, according to NBC Los Angeles. Forensic analysis on September 17th confirmed the remains were those of Rivas Hernandez, who had been reported missing from Riverside County, California, back in April 2024.
While investigators work to determine how the teenager died-the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office hasn’t yet released a cause of death-they are currently handling the case as a death investigation.
After Rivas Hernandez was identified, her family and friends shared a statement on a GoFundMe page, describing her as a cherished daughter, sister, cousin, and friend.
The message continued, “Her family is heartbroken and devastated by this tragic loss.”
TopMob News has contacted the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office for a statement, but they haven’t responded yet.
Before Rivas Hernandez was found in his car, D4vd had been touring the U.S. to promote his first album, *Withered*, after playing at Coachella. He’s still scheduled to perform in Norway on October 1st.

D4vd, whose full name is David Anthony Burke, was born in Queens, New York, and later moved to Houston, Texas, at the age of 13.
D4vd started his online career by streaming games like Fortnite on YouTube, hoping to gain popularity. In 2021, he faced issues with copyrighted music in his videos and asked his mom for help.
He described a conversation with his mother, telling Benny Blanco for Hero magazine that he’d been complaining about not making any money. He said he basically ‘cried’ to her about it, but she simply told him to make his own music and left him alone. That’s when he realized he could actually try doing that.
D4vd, who hadn’t played any instruments or formally studied music beyond casual singing, began creating songs using an app on his phone. His music quickly gained popularity online, and after several tracks went viral on TikTok, his music career started to flourish.
He finally put out his first album, *Withered*, in April 2025, and quickly followed it up with his first tour around the world.
On September 8th, police were sent to a Hollywood tow yard after reports of a bad smell coming from a car, according to NBC News sources.
Los Angeles police discovered human remains inside a Tesla’s front trunk. The car was registered to David Anthony Burke – known as the artist D4vd – in Hempstead, Texas.
According to police, the car was towed to the impound lot because it had been left abandoned in the Hollywood Hills.
On September 16th, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the remains found in a Tesla belonged to Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who had been missing since April 5, 2024. She was 13 years old when she disappeared.
Records from the Medical Examiner’s Office, obtained by TopMob News on September 17th, show the official cause of death is still being determined. While her body was found on September 8th, investigators believe it had been in the car for a significant amount of time beforehand and was extremely decomposed.
After learning about the death of Rivas Hernandez, a representative for D4vd told NBC News that the singer has been notified and is working with police while continuing his tour.
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE this! D4vd’s Seattle show on September 17th was cancelled – they found him, you guys! It’s just… so much. But thankfully, he’s still scheduled to play in San Francisco on the 19th, and I’m already counting down the seconds!
