A third season of Dan Da Dan has been confirmed, but fans will have to wait a while before it’s released.
I just saw the latest promotional image for the anime, and it officially announced that season 3 is coming in 2027. They haven’t given us an exact date yet, but at least we know when to expect it!
Fans are in for a bit of a wait after the first two seasons came out close together – late 2024 and mid-2025. Let’s hope the next part of the anime is worth it!
Season 3 of the anime hasn’t been previewed yet, but it will continue the story from Yukinobu Tatsu’s popular manga, which has sold over 12 million copies.
The show will likely continue with the Kaiju storyline, but we’ll have official confirmation closer to the release date.
The story centers around Momo, a high school student who comes from a family with the ability to communicate with spirits and strongly believes in ghosts. Her classmate, Okarun, is fascinated by aliens.

When Momo and Okarun get into a disagreement about what they believe, they decide to investigate strange places separately. Momo checks out an old, reportedly haunted hospital known for UFO sightings, and Okarun explores a spooky tunnel. Both of them encounter unexpected and supernatural events during their explorations.
Season 2 explored the stories of the Cursed House and Evil Eye, and fans can expect even more from this popular series in the future.

Fûga Yamashiro, the director of the series, has hinted at plans for a third season. He told ScreenRant that a future storyline involving aliens and new characters is in the works, but it won’t appear in the current season.
It would have been easy to quickly exhaust all the color choices if I’d given each new character a unique one. Luckily, I managed to avoid that this season.
The third season of DanDaDan is scheduled to premiere in 2027. You can currently watch the first two seasons on streaming platforms like Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu.
