In the early part of the episode, you’ll find a significant moment: Okarun and Jiji are confronted by the overbearing Kito family, who seem to be nosy and somewhat unsettling landlords.
Okarun has gone to Jiji’s residence to lend a hand during an exorcism, however, their visit is disrupted by the Kito family who are not in favor of mediums, causing inconvenience at an especially unfortunate time.
Upon the Kitos’ arrival at the front door, Okarun and Jiji had recently created a conspicuous opening in one of the walls, revealing a hidden room. To conceal this hole from curious guests, they promptly hung up a poster showcasing the football team, Zaint-Germain FC.
It turns out that this seemingly minor point becomes crucial later, as a member of the Kito family grows curious about Okarun’s reason for dropping by their residence.
Curious about whether Okarun truly considers Jiji a friend, the man inquires about Jiji’s preferred football team. With recent sighting of a poster, Okarun quickly provides the correct answer: Paris Saint-Germain.
Readers who are fond of the Dan Da Dan manga will swiftly identify the allusion, as it echoes a pivotal antagonist in upcoming narratives.
As Count Saint-Germain assumes a significant role as an adversary in subsequent parts, he is portrayed as a connoisseur of supernatural artifacts. Among his coveted items is the enigmatic Dandadan – a term that goes unspecified for numerous chapters, but is later disclosed to be a mystical entity or force.
In simpler terms, could this mention of Zaint-Germain (a name similar to Count Saint-Germain from a popular manga) in a football context be merely an easter egg for manga enthusiasts? It might serve as a hint that the character Count Saint-Germain is somehow connected or present.
