Jan Ravnik, renowned for his backup dancing role in Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and its subsequent concert film, will be joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars as a professional dancer for the forthcoming 34th season, which is scheduled to debut on September 16.
He shared that he’s heading to the ballroom stage for “Dancing With the Stars”, following his world tour travels, as he announced during the August 28 episode of “Good Morning America”. He added that the Mirrorball Trophy never loses its charm and they are all geared up to take it home.
In simple terms, a Los Angeles-based dancer and choreographer had the chance to perform alongside the Grammy-winning artist during her almost two-year tour, which he appreciated right from the beginning. This was one of 16 opportunities given to dancers on stage.
In March 2023, he expressed his heartfelt appreciation on Instagram following Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour with a series of photos from the opening night, stating that he was deeply grateful to be a part of it and was still struggling to find the right words to express his emotions.
He added, “I honestly didn’t expect a small-town lad from Slovenia would make it this far, yet look at us now.
Are there more names set to compete on DWTS this fall? Robert Irwin and Alix Earle are two of them, along with Jen Affleck from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and Whitney Leavitt. The remaining celebrities and their professional partners will be announced in September.
It seems that dance partners Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy believe they have an idea about which contestant, son of the renowned Steve Irwin himself, might win the Mirrorball Trophy.
Jenna shared with TopMob News on August 7 that the wildlife conservationist radiates an infectious positivity and energy, and she can’t wait to see him on their show because he will undoubtedly become a remarkable figure due to his wonderful family.
It’s an added advantage that Robert’s sister, Bindi Irwin, has previously won before.
Jenna reminisced, “We’ve been massive fans of Robert Irwin ever since he was a child, watching him on set as Bindi performed.” She also mentioned that among the new cast members, it would be intriguing to observe how the audience reacts and engages with them.
