Dancing With The Stars Fans Are Already Making Voting History In Season 34, But Only One Performer Has Broken 1 Million Views So Far

Season 34 of *Dancing with the Stars* premiered in 2025 with a fresh group of celebrities and their professional dance partners. Corey Feldman and Baron Davis were the first two contestants eliminated, as they didn’t receive enough votes from viewers. However, overall fan voting has been strong, and the show-which you can stream on Hulu and Disney+-has already broken voting records. Viewership increased significantly from week one to week two, marking the biggest jump in over ten years for *DWTS*.

As of now, only one contestant from Season 34 has reached 1 million views on YouTube, and no one else is even near that number. While Bobby Bones showed in Season 27 that strong dancing isn’t always necessary to win *Dancing with the Stars*, my personal favorite from the beginning of Season 34, Andy Richter, is still in the competition despite consistently low scores. Although anything could happen, one star currently seems to be leading the pack.

Read on to find out how the show is performing and which celebrity dancer is currently the audience favorite!

How Dancing With The Stars Is Doing On ABC

After its second episode on September 23rd, ABC announced that *Dancing with the Stars* (*DWTS*) saw an increase in viewers compared to its premiere – something that hadn’t happened in 14 years. The show remained the most-watched program on Tuesday nights, attracting 5.46 million viewers and earning a 1.02 rating among adults aged 18-49. NBC’s *The Voice* came in second with 5.43 million viewers and a 0.41 rating, while NBC’s *America’s Got Talent* (*AGT*) had 4.36 million viewers and a 0.30 rating in the same age group.

During its second week, the ABC dance competition outperformed all other shows airing on NBC and Fox between 8 and 10 p.m. Eastern time. This includes shows like *The Voice* and *America’s Got Talent* on NBC, and *Murder in a Small Town* and *Doc* on Fox. CBS has not yet launched its Tuesday night programming for the fall season.

Fan voting really surged this week, reaching an impressive 35 million votes – a 67% increase from the 21 million votes cast after the premiere. This number is even higher than the 32 million votes tallied during last year’s Season 33 finale, which saw Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson take home the win.

Season 34 of *Dancing with the Stars* is attracting a good audience and strong participation, though views of individual contestant videos on YouTube haven’t been as high as expected.

The YouTube MVP Of Season 34 (So Far)

While YouTube views don’t always predict the winner of *Dancing with the Stars*, the numbers this season (Season 34) are telling a clear story. Currently, there’s a significant gap between the most popular performer on YouTube and everyone else – the closest competitor is still about 600,000 views behind.

I wasn’t at all surprised to see Robert Irwin leading the pack again! After topping the charts after the first show, his dance this week was *the* one everyone was watching on YouTube. Seriously, his tango to ‘Move Your Feet’ with Witney Carson already has over a million views! It was amazing. Jordan Chiles’ jive was great too, and it’s currently in second place with over 400,000 views, but Robert’s dance is just on another level.

The Olympic gymnast saw a significant boost in views after her debut, landing in eighth place on YouTube. However, Robert Irwin, who led with 1.2 million views (now 1.6 million), experienced a slight decrease. Even with this dip, Robert Irwin remains the most popular celebrity dancer of Season 34 on YouTube. Check out his latest performance here:

The season has just begun, and while Robert is off to a strong start with over a million views on YouTube, it’s too early to say if he’ll follow in his sister Bindi Irwin’s footsteps and win *Dancing with the Stars*. Don’t miss new episodes Tuesdays at 8 p.m. Eastern on ABC. The September 30th episode will feature a TikTok theme.
