Dandadan Drops New Live-Action Trailer Ahead of Season 3

Fans of the anime Dandadan are eagerly awaiting its third season, and now there’s exciting news: a new live-action version is coming out! The anime adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu’s Dandadan has been a huge success over the past couple of years, gaining popularity worldwide. With a third anime season already planned, the Dandadan universe is expanding with even more projects on the way.

While Season 3 of Dandadan isn’t expected until next year, fans in Japan can look forward to a new live-action stage play coming soon! This play will offer a fresh take on the story seen in the anime, and a new trailer has just been released to give fans a sneak peek. Dandadan Stage Play Releases First Trailer

The new stage play, DAN DA DAN Occult Stage, is coming to Japan this August. Imagine Ito will direct, with a script by Shinjiro Kameda and music by Ryo Konishi. Yuiri Murayama will play Momo Ayase, and two actors will portray Okarun: Raimu Ninomiya as the regular version and Hiroki Hyakuna as the transformed version after using Turbo Granny’s powers. The cast also includes Aoi Nakabeppu as Seiko, Riko Tanaka as Aira Shiratori, and Risa Yamazaki as Acrobatic Silky.

As of now, the stage play adaptation of Dandadan, titled DAN DA DAN Occult Stage, will only be available in Japan, and it’s expected to stay that way. While Japan often hosts stage plays based on popular anime and manga, sometimes international fans get a chance to experience them through special screenings or limited releases. It remains to be seen if this will happen with Dandadan, but fans are hoping for the possibility.

When Does Dandadan Season 3 Come Out?

Season 3 of Dandadan is expected to arrive in 2027, though a specific release date hasn’t been announced yet. Science SARU is returning to animate the new episodes, just like they did for the first two seasons, but details about the staff are still unconfirmed. We don’t yet know where you’ll be able to stream the third season, but the first two seasons are currently available on platforms like Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu.

Season 3 of Dandadan will bring back the original voice actors from the first two seasons. Confirmed cast members include Shion Wakayama as Momo, Natsuki Hanae as Okarun, Nana Mizuki as Seiko, Ayane Sakura as Aira, Kaito Ishikawa as Jiji, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Manjiro, Daichi Fujiwara as Kinta, and Mayumi Tanaka as Turbo Granny, among others.
