Dandadan’s Season 2 Cliffhanger Just Made the Wait for Season 3 More Painful

Season 2 of *Dandadan* is a highly anticipated anime, picking up where Season 1 left off with the exciting Cursed House Arc. The shocking secrets of Jiji’s house were revealed, but Momo, Ken, and Okarin managed to make it through the dangerous encounter. Following their battle with the Tsuchinoko and the Kito family, they return home to find Jiji has been possessed. Controlling the Evil Eye is incredibly difficult, making an exorcism seem impossible. Despite this, Seiko discovers a way to help Jiji, even though he remains determined to keep a promise he made to a frightened child.

Jiji is struggling to find a way to live peacefully with the angry spirit, and it’s proving harder than he thought. The second season of the series is also introducing new characters, and the latest one is a real surprise. No one expected the powerful monster to be a robotic suit piloted by a young girl, especially after she kissed Okarun right in front of Momo! Now, everyone’s wondering who this girl is and what she’s planning.

Dandadan Season 2 Finale Ends With the Shocking Introduction of Vamola

Defeating the massive Kaiju was incredibly difficult, but the biggest shock came when they discovered a young girl was controlling it. Vamola surprised everyone by kissing Okarun right away, leaving Momo speechless. Despite this dramatic introduction, Vamola quickly became a popular character and a fan favorite. As you might expect, she’s an alien, but she didn’t come to Earth to cause trouble. She’s the last surviving member of her people, sent away to safety after her home planet was attacked by a group of alien terrorists called the Kur.

Vamola’s past will be revealed later in the story. Right now, her sudden appearance interrupts the growing connection between Momo and Okarun. Vamola is looking for a partner to fulfill her adoptive mother’s wishes, but she quickly realizes Okarun isn’t the right match.

Everyone readily accepts Vamola, despite her mysterious background, except for Momo, who is openly jealous. It takes time, but Momo eventually warms up to Vamola, and they become close friends. Vamola proves to be a dependable ally as she integrates into the group, which continues to grow with the addition of both her and Kinta Sakata, and will welcome even more new members next season.

Dandadan Season 2 Serves As a Prologue to the Series’ Best Arc

Following the events of the Cursed House Arc, the second season of *Dandadan* has been building towards the Space Globalists Arc, which will continue in Season 3. The head of the Kito family, who disappeared after her wrongdoings were revealed, was secretly an alien from a warlike race called the Kur, disguised as a human. This alien had been secretly planning for over two hundred years, but a group of kids-especially Momo-managed to stop him. Now, Momo has unknowingly made a powerful enemy of one of the most dangerous alien races in the universe.

The Kaiju Arc and the surprising arrival of Vamola are both connected to the larger Space Globalists Arc. We’ll learn more about the Kur’s cruelty through Vamola’s history, showing they intentionally search for planets to conquer and destroy. This arc is currently the longest in the series, lasting 47 chapters, and many fans consider it the best. With each of the first two anime seasons covering 12 episodes, it’s unclear how the third season will adapt this lengthy story into the same format.

I’m so excited that the *Dandadan* anime is out now on Crunchyroll and Netflix! They’ve animated up to chapter 71 of the manga, which takes us right before the big finale of the Kaiju arc.
