The upcoming second season of Sky’s Mr Bigstuff is gearing up to bring some fitting turmoil, according to a recent interview by its leading actor, Danny Dyer, with The Sun newspaper.
In the upcoming season, I’ll be stepping out with a bare, natural appearance, and you might catch me chasing after folks along the street, as hinted at in the preview.
Discussing the event in question with The Sun, Dyer commented: “Have you ever dashed through a housing complex without clothes? It’s an entirely different experience, even metaphorically. I was mainly focused on ensuring it wasn’t excessively chilly outside!
“It was broad daylight. I didn’t go fully [nude], I had a little sock over my Hampton.”
He added: “When you read this, you think ‘I need to actually perform it’. However, it’s crucial for the play, a pivotal moment. You realize ‘he’s returned’. It’s how we demonstrate the return of the dominant character.

Previously known EastEnders actor is set to resume his character, Mr Bigstuff, as Lee Campbell, in the second season. He’ll be sharing the screen with Ryan Sampson, the show’s creator, who will reprise his role as Lee’s estranged sibling Glen.
In the official summary for season 2, we find out that the story continues two weeks following the surprising revelation that their father is still alive. The characters Lee and Glen react distinctly to this unexpected turn of events.
The narrative progresses as follows: “However, as disorder escalates and doubts proliferate, the brothers join forces to locate him. Simultaneously, Kirsty is asserting control in both her personal life and professional sphere. Yet, an ill-timed kiss and a secret extortionist could potentially lead to the collapse of everything.
As a movie buff, I can’t help but feel that tension is brewing once more among this family. With hidden truths surfacing and emotions running high, it seems like another explosive confrontation is imminent.
Regarding additional details about the upcoming sequel, it has been confirmed that there will be a reunion from EastEnders, as actress Linda Henry, who plays Shirley Carter, is set to join the cast of the Sky comedy series.
He commented: “Among these siblings, there’s an abundance of hidden family truths and surprises. I can’t disclose much further, but it’s quite intriguing and exciting!
Mr Bigstuff will return to Sky and NOW on Thursday 24th July 2025 – sign up for Sky TV here.
