In season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, Daredevil will confront Wilson Fisk and will need help from a team. Jessica Jones is confirmed to be joining the fight, and surprisingly, Foggy Nelson – who seemingly died last season – will also be back. A recently released trailer now reveals another character previously thought to be deceased will reappear in the new season. You can watch the trailer below.
The latest trailer offers more details about the conflict between Daredevil, his team, and Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin. Later, the trailer shows Kingpin in a car with someone who appears to be James Wesley – his former second-in-command from the original Daredevil Netflix series. This is surprising because Wesley was killed off in the earlier seasons, so seeing him alive raises a lot of questions. You can watch the trailer below.

Is James Wesley Really Alive In Daredevil: Born Again?
In the first Daredevil series, Wesley was Kingpin’s main problem-solver, usually finding a way to handle any situation. Of course, Daredevil himself proved to be a major challenge, and even when Matt Murdock wasn’t involved, things often got very stressful.

Despite the challenges he faced, Wesley managed to complete his tasks until he kidnapped Karen Page. He held Page captive, questioning and threatening her, and revealed their initial plan to kill her had been replaced with a bribe, though that attempt ultimately failed.
Wesley tried to scare her further by placing a gun on the table. He then threatened to harm Ben Urich, Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson, and the friends and family of Karen. A phone call from Fisk briefly interrupted him, and that’s when Page seized the opportunity and grabbed the gun. Wesley tried to talk his way out of it, but Page shot him once, then repeatedly, killing him immediately.

Even though this is a comic book and TV show, there’s still a possibility Wesley could reappear, and the show could explain how he survived being shot. It would require a complicated storyline, considering he was shot at close range multiple times and was alone at an abandoned warehouse with no immediate help. While it’s likely any appearance will be in a flashback, anything is possible with Marvel, and we won’t have to wait long to find out for sure.
Daredevil: Born Again season 2 hits Disney+ on March 24th, 2026.
