To revitalize the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the mixed reception to the Multiverse Saga, Kevin Feige is changing how Marvel Studios releases content. Instead of releasing a lot of movies and TV shows each year, Marvel will focus on fewer projects, prioritizing quality over quantity. While many viewers felt there was too much Marvel content available after the launch of Disney+, this new approach puts a lot of responsibility on each upcoming project to deliver. With fewer releases planned, each movie and show needs to be excellent to keep the MCU moving forward. Luckily, the start of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is looking promising.
Currently, Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again has a 95% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This is an improvement over the 87% score the first season received. Critics agree that the new season is strong, praising the excellent performances, faster pace, and relevant themes, making it a worthy continuation for the character.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Continues a Strong Year for Marvel TV

The current Rotten Tomatoes score for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is based on only 56 reviews, much fewer than the 224 reviews Season 1 received. Because of this, the score is likely to change as more reviews are published, though probably not by a large margin ā a few percentage points at most. It’s very unlikely the score will fall below 75%, which is the threshold for being ‘Certified Fresh.’ Early reviews often give a good idea of how a show will be received overall, and the fact that Rotten Tomatoes has already published a Critics Consensus suggests they’re confident in the initial reaction.
As a critic, I have to say Marvel Studios is really hitting its stride on the small screen. After the fantastic reception to Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, theyāre now two-for-two this year! Wonder Man was a huge win for Disney+ earlier, and the chemistry between Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley was a major part of that. Good news ā itās already been renewed for Season 2! Itās clear Marvel sees Wonder Man and Born Again as the foundation for their future TV plans, and theyāre already working on Season 3 of Born Again. Honestly, itās a smart move to build out this corner of the franchise with shows people are genuinely enjoying.
The positive reception to shows like Daredevil: Born Again and Wonder Man is exciting because they demonstrate the wide range of stories Marvel can tell, helping to overcome concerns about superhero burnout. These series are very different from each other ā one is a clever comedy that pokes fun at the entertainment world, and the other is a gritty, realistic crime drama focused on fighting corruption. This fresh approach is what keeps the MCU interesting and offers unique takes on familiar comic book stories. By continuing to create series like these, Marvel can stay successful on Disney+ for a long time. Streaming is still important to Marvel, so each show needs to be inventive and memorable to attract viewers.
Even after Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel has more TV planned for this year and beyond. Along with a special episode featuring Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, the series Vision Quest is currently slated for release in late 2026, though a firm date hasnāt been announced. Vision Quest has a lot of potential, especially as a follow-up to the popular and critically acclaimed WandaVision. The story will delve into the complex theme of “intergenerational trauma” and could serve as a compelling conclusion to the WandaVision storyline, which also includes Agatha All Along. While Marvelās Disney+ shows have had mixed results recently, things seem to be improving.
