A second season of Daredevil: Born Again is in the works, and Marvel Studios is hoping it will be a success. While the first season showed some promise and hinted at a return to the quality fans expect from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it didn’t fully deliver. Fans are now looking forward to seeing if Season 2 can build on that foundation and truly meet expectations.
Early looks at videos and photos from Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 have already excited fans, and now there’s even more good news: the season’s ending is expected to be as strong and satisfying as the original Daredevil series on Netflix.
It’s Daredevil vs. Kingpin inthe End (Again)

Jesse Wigutow, an executive producer on Daredevil: Born Again, recently told Collider that the show’s second season will ultimately focus on a final showdown between Daredevil and Kingpin. He explained that the season will strip away all other storylines to bring the conflict down to a direct, and hopefully satisfying, confrontation between these two characters.
The Netflix series Daredevil featured two major confrontations between Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) and Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), in seasons one and three. The first fight wasn’t entirely satisfying, as the show attempted a shift from its realistic, street-level crime drama to a more traditional superhero battle with Daredevil in costume against Kingpin. The action sequences felt out of place with the show’s established style, highlighting the need for a better balance. However, by the end of Season 3, Daredevil really hit its stride. The season’s storyline involving Agent Dex/Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) led to a fierce, three-way fight in Kingpin’s penthouse, with Daredevil almost fatally injuring Fisk.
The new Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again, will have a similar ending to the original Netflix series, but with a different feel. While the first season wasn’t afraid to show intense violence, Born Again likely won’t be quite as dark overall. The story will focus on a large-scale conflict between street-level heroes and the city’s government, with Wilson Fisk using his new position as mayor to enact policies that favor criminals – mirroring the comic books. The final showdown will involve Matt Murdock battling a fully empowered Kingpin, but this time, the fight needs to be tied to Matt’s own growth as a hero. This will allow the show to demonstrate how an MCU hero behaves, even when facing their greatest enemy, without resorting to the same level of brutality seen in the Netflix version.
