Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again, continues to impress viewers on Disney+. His co-stars, including Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, are also fantastic, but it’s a recent achievement by the character Bullseye that’s truly noteworthy.
Wilson Bethel’s portrayal of Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, also known as Bullseye, was particularly wild and unpredictable in the fourth episode of Daredevil: Born Again, which premiered on April 8th and generated a lot of excitement online.
IMDb reports that the episode, cleverly named Gloves Off, has achieved the highest rating of any episode in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s streaming series, scoring a 9.6 out of 10. This makes it the top-rated Marvel streaming episode ever.
Daredevil Is Officially the King of Marvel, MCU Streaming
To give you some context, here’s how this episode compares to the most popular streaming episodes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far:
- Daredevil (Netflix) – A New Napkin: 9/6/10
- Loki (Disney+) – Glorious Purpose: 9.5/10
- The Punisher (Netflix) – Home: 9.5/10
- Jessica Jones (Netflix) – A.K.A. Bin: 9.0/10
- Agatha All Along (Disney+) – Death’s Hand In Mine: 9.0/10
The Daredevil series is on a roll, with both its original Netflix show and the new Disney+ version ranking as the best Marvel has to offer. And it doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon! As Season 2 nears its finale on May 5th, the tension is building to incredible levels, and things are about to get even more exciting with Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) returning after a long wait.
Is Daredevil Here to Stay … This Time Around?
Marvel took a big risk bringing Daredevil back for Disney+, but it’s clearly paying off. The show is a huge success and could mean we’ll see other heroes from the old Netflix series return as well.
Recently released photos from the set of Season 3 reveal the return of Luke Cage (Mike Colter), strongly suggesting that Jessica Jones will also reappear, and potentially paving the way for the first appearance of Iron Fist (Finn Jones) and The Defenders within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Dario Scardapane, the showrunner for Daredevil: Born Again, is currently addressing questions and providing updates.
Cox has been openly discussing potential surprises, even suggesting the return of not one, but two unexpected characters. If this keeps up, Daredevil seems poised for a lasting presence, as the ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ series is shaping up to be something truly special – a cinematic masterpiece.
You can now watch all three seasons of Daredevil, plus the first two seasons of its spin-off, Born Again, on Disney+.
