Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are eagerly awaiting the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. The new season promises to build on Daredevil’s story after successfully reintroducing the character following the Netflix series. Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will continue the epic rivalry between Daredevil and Kingpin as they fight for control of New York City. While the first season was a great addition to Marvel TV, the upcoming season has the potential to be even better, and will include a much-requested element that fans have been waiting for.
In a recent interview with IMDb, Charlie Cox shared his excitement about Daredevil’s new costume for season 2 of Born Again, calling it one of his favorites. He joked that he’s finally gotten the chest plate he’s been wanting since 2014! Cox described the black “Shadowlands” suit – which actually resembles a Daredevil look from the comics more than the original Shadowlands costume – as naturally menacing and a great next step in the character’s visual evolution.
Daredevil: Born Again Will Top Netflix’s Most Iconic Matt Murdock Scene

During a conversation about Charlie Cox’s new Daredevil costume, Vincent D’Onofrio was asked about the most memorable Daredevil scene. He highlighted the climactic fight between Kingpin and Daredevil in season 3 of Daredevil, calling it a key moment for Matt Murdock. However, he suggested that a scene from the upcoming Born Again season 2 could ultimately surpass it.
One of the most powerful and emotionally devastating scenes in Netflix’s Daredevil is a turning point for the hero. As actor Vincent D’Onofrio explains, the scene brilliantly showcases the conflict between Daredevil’s violent methods and Matt Murdock’s moral compass. Charlie Cox’s acting further enhances the scene’s impact, powerfully portraying the character’s inner turmoil.
While D’Onofrio wouldn’t reveal how the new season of Daredevil: Born Again could surpass a particularly memorable scene from the previous installment, his confidence suggests something special is coming. He clearly understands the characters and their journey, and his comments about the show’s potential feel genuine. What’s clear is that Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will continue to build on the strong storytelling established by both the first season and the original Netflix series.
