On September 4th, I’m super excited to share that the team at indie.io and Sword and Axe are unleashing the strategic RPG masterpiece, Dark Deity II, on the Nintendo Switch! The news has just dropped. Can’t wait to jump into this epic battlefield!

The mighty Dark Deity has returned after a gap of 25 years! In this time, Irving and the Eternal Order have been diligently rebuilding Verroa to fortify it against potential future conflicts. However, their hard work may be challenged prematurely as a fresh menace emerges on the horizon. The powerful Holy Asverellian Empire is in need of expanding territories, and the vulnerable yet fractious Verroa seems an inviting target. The only obstacle in its path is the Order, along with a band of brave individuals who are about to prove their heroism.
Lead the Eternal Delegation, now headed by Irving’s heirs. Gwyn and Riordian must maneuver through the dangerous political landscape of Verroa, forming strategic alliances to alter the course of an impending war. Your choices will mold these alliances and shape your military forces. With a vast array of customization options at your disposal, each playthrough promises a unique experience.

In Dark Deity II, the core gameplay revolves around strategic, turn-based combat. You’ll have a squad of 20 characters at your disposal, each with access to 45 distinct class branches. Each class offers unique abilities, passive effects, and strategic roles, providing a diverse array of tactical options.
…until you begin to tinker with various talents, attributes, and equipment that have the potential to significantly alter a unit’s effectiveness in the field and overhaul your strategies positively.
Together, heroes may form unbreakable connections amidst insurmountable challenges. Tough times can cultivate resilience, yet they also possess the power to shatter friendships and sow chaos. Can you navigate this delicate balance?
Make Your Decisions Wisely
A frantic effort to counter a formidable enemy. The country gripped by war enthusiasm, fear, and internal discord. Betrayers seemingly everywhere. To stand a fighting chance in this war, tough decisions must be made.
In the world of Verroa, I find myself standing amidst a whirlwind of internal conflicts. Each faction seems fragmented, with subgroups pulling in different directions. Choosing allegiance isn’t easy, as it means potentially turning my back on others who might need my support. Yet, every decision could significantly shape the course of upcoming struggles… I must tread carefully and ponder wisely before making a move.
Each decision you make can drastically alter the experience of playing the game. No two gaming sessions are identical, as events that lead to success in one session might result in failure in another.
Twist the Threads of Destiny
Each playthrough of Dark Deity II will be unique, offering you an opportunity to delve deeper. Drawing inspiration from roguelites, we’ve introduced the Twisted Destiny mode. This lets you experience a condensed campaign with randomized teams for every playthrough, new levels, and altered existing ones. Unlock rewards in each session, which can significantly alter subsequent gameplay!
