Darth Revan Debuts In Exclusive New Star Wars Series Footage

22 years after first appearing in Star Wars media, the character Darth Revan from “Knights of the Old Republic” is set to come back to the franchise through an upcoming Star Wars television series. Known for his fall from grace as a powerful Jedi to become a prominent Sith Lord, Revan has been one of the most beloved but less-seen Star Wars characters until now. Fans have long hoped to see him on screen, and this new show may finally make that happen-in a way that some might find surprising.

Revan’s tale is just as captivating as any character within the Star Wars universe, whether it’s from Legends or Canon. Originally a Jedi who abandoned his Order and embraced the dark side, he later underwent a transformation towards redemption. Not only does he stand out among the most stylish Sith characters in Star Wars lore, but unfortunately, he has yet to appear on the big screen. However, thanks to an exclusive clip from the upcoming show LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past, we can witness Darth Revan back in action once more.

In this scene, we witness Revan, clad in his signature red and black robes and donning a stylish Mandalorian mask, emerge alongside a menacing Obi-Wan Kenobi wielding a red lightsaber. The Empire’s stronghold serves as their backdrop. Both Sith warriors brandish one purple and one red lightsaber apiece. They engage in combat with returning characters Sig Greebling and his brother Dev, along with newcomer Ahsoka Tano, who is reminiscent of the Clone Wars legend in a Brickheadz design.

Pieces of the Past Pays Off Plans To Bring Revan To Canon (Sort Of)

Although not a complete confirmation in the traditional sense, as Revan was briefly referenced in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary” in 2019, this new appearance offers fans a delightful reunion with this iconic character. Despite LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy being distinct from other live-action Star Wars series due to its signature humor, Revan maintains his distinctive appeal. He continues to be one of the select characters who wield two lightsabers of different colors, a trait that’s delightfully retained in this show.

In “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” Season 3, I was originally slated to make an appearance alongside Darth Bane in the episode “Ghosts of Mortis.” However, George Lucas’ involvement intervened and ultimately resulted in my character being cut from the show. His reasoning was that depicting Sith Lords existing beyond death went against the established light side understanding of Force Ghosts. Fortunately, this issue doesn’t arise in the new LEGO series, allowing me to grace the screen once more for eager fans to enjoy.

The LEGO Star Wars series titled “Rebuilding Galaxies – Memories of Times Past” is set to debut on September 19th, exclusively on Disney+. All four episodes from its inaugural season can already be streamed on this very platform.
