WWE and 2K have started building excitement for WWE 2K26! Pre-orders will open on January 30th, 2026, and the game will be fully revealed – most likely during an episode of WWE SmackDown on the same day.
WWE recently announced that WWE 2K26 will have two special editions: the Attitude Era Edition and the Monday Night War Edition. The announcement was made with trailers during episodes of WWE SmackDown and WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.
As an analyst, I’ve been digging into what WWE 2K26 might offer, and the official website just released a really intriguing image. It’s full of seemingly random objects, which definitely suggests some hidden features or content we can expect in the game. It’s a bit of a puzzle, but it’s got me excited to see what they’re hinting at.
The evidence consists of several items: a calendar, a pet iguana, furry boots with a two-toned wig, VHS tapes, a shopping cart, and a microphone.

As far for that these hints could mean, here are my personal guesses:
- The Calendar date represents when WWE 2K26 will be revealed (January 30, 2026).
- The pet iguana could imply that the popular AAA wrestler Mr. Iguana will be added to the roster.
- The fur boots + two-toned wig could represent new cosmetic outfits for our custom-made characters to wear.
- The VHS tapes could mean reliving classic WWE matches from the 1990s, either from a Showcase mode or new challenge modes.
- The Shopping Cart could mean WWE 2K26 will let the player re-enact the iconic 2001 Supermarket Brawl between Booker T and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
- The Microphone could perhaps imply that WWE 2K26’s rendition of the series’ long-standing Universe Mode will feature voiced lines during promos or improvements for the mode overall.
The road to WWE 2K26 has truly begun now
We’ve been getting hints for weeks about what to expect in WWE 2K26, including a possible CM Punk-focused Showcase Mode and the return of some popular match types.
With an official reveal date set for WWE 2K26, we’ll finally find out if the recent rumors are accurate on January 30, 2026.
We’ll probably learn more about the content included in both the Attitude Era and Monday Night War editions soon. I’m personally more excited about the Attitude Era edition, since I grew up watching WWE in the 90s and wasn’t a fan of WCW. Hopefully, they’ll include some classic costumes for characters like Kane and Undertaker to bring back some memories!
If you enjoy WWE video games, you won’t want to miss WWE 2K26! It promises exciting new match types, game modes, and a fresh roster of wrestlers.
