Dave Grohl and Jordyn Blum are in tune.

A little more than a year after Dave Grohl revealed he had a daughter with someone other than his wife, Jordyn, he and Jordyn made their first public appearance together on a red carpet. They have been married for 22 years.

Dave and Jordyn attended the Hope in The City of Angels charity gala on October 18th. They both wore black: Dave in a relaxed suit without a tie, and Jordyn in a long-sleeved dress with tights and heels.

Dave Grohl and his wife were all smiles as they walked the blue carpet at the event, accompanied by their three daughters: Violet Maye, 19, Harper Willow, 16, and Ophelia Saint, 11.

Dave was recognized at the event for his dedication to helping those in need in the Los Angeles area, mirroring how his music has brought comfort and hope to people around the world. He was honored for his volunteer work and inspiring others to advocate for the less fortunate.

In addition to auctioning off a set of handwritten lyrics, he also pledged $100,000 to the mission.

Dave and Jordyn were seen together publicly for the first time in over a year, following the musician’s announcement that he had a fourth daughter from another relationship.

In a post from September 2024, he said he intends to be a caring and understanding parent. He also expressed his love for his wife and children, and stated he’s working hard to rebuild their trust and be forgiven.

The 56-year-old finished by saying they appreciate everyone keeping all the children involved in their thoughts, and expressed hope for a positive path forward, while continuing to keep details about the baby and its mother private.

Just over a week after former Nirvana drummer announced their separation, Jordyn was spotted without her wedding ring. However, nine months later, the couple showed they were still together with a cheerful appearance at Wimbledon’s Royal Box in July.

Long before Dave became a father, he’d talked about how Jordyn kept him balanced and level-headed despite his successful career.

In a 2007 interview with *The Guardian*, he explained that despite twenty years of touring, he’s always longed for a sense of calm. He said he’s never enjoyed chaos, and throughout his time with both Nirvana and the Foo Fighters, he would escape to Virginia whenever things felt overwhelming.

Grohl explained that his daughters, Jordyn and Violet, are what keep him grounded and prevent him from losing himself. He said, “I wouldn’t be able to do this without them.”
